What is EA Sports Madden NFL 20?

EA Sports Madden NFL 20 is the 2019-2020 edition of the EA Sports Madden NFL game series developed by EA Tiburon for EA Sports. EA Sports Madden NFL 20 was released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows in August 2019. EA Sports Madden NFL 20 released with a standard and “Superstar Edition” of the game, both of which feature Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes as the cover athlete.

Challenges & Learnings: Working on EA Sports Madden NFL 20

The EA Sports satellite team I was embedded with in Ausint, TX had largely wrapped up development on EA Sports Madden NFL 19 nearing the end of my contract, so I was able to get involved with and contribute to the team’s roadmap and feature planning for the following year’s EA Sports Madden NFL entry prior to my departure from the team at the end of my contract. The key challenges and learnings I experienced during this period of my time at Electronic Arts was the need to quickly understand how unaddressed user feedback translated into upstream design and development decisions for my team, which were then parsed and charted out across iterative sprint cycles and development milestones in order to create a shared team vision for how the development of EA Sports Madden NFL 20 would progress over the next year.
